At B Online Learning, we pride ourselves on exemplifying what it means to be the best in the business, and having recently won our second best eLearning team award at the LearnX awards, we wanted to share some behind-the-scenes information on our award-winning team.
A year of remarkable achievements
From custom eLearning content to delivering Articulate training, and our flagship Birch Learning Platform, we cover every stage of the eLearning journey.
In the last year, our team completed over 55 projects for various clients in Australia and Europe, including new clients such as Petbarn, Yancoal, Excerptica Medica, and the WA Police. We’ve also continued our partnerships with long-term clients such as Santos, with whom we’ve designed and delivered over 20 eLearning modules. This diverse portfolio highlights our ability to adapt and innovate, meeting the needs of large corporations, small businesses, and government organisations.
Award-winning solutions
One standout project was with Port Macquarie Hastings Council (PMHC), where we developed a Work Health and Safety (WHS) awareness eLearning module tailored to their diverse workforce. This included custom animations, interactive elements, and inclusive design strategies, resulting in something much more than a simple training tool – a thoughtfully crafted, sustainable resource.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive:

Team dynamics and collaboration
Being a small business with a multi-disciplinary team, effective teamwork and collaboration is essential. A well-rounded eLearning team is characterised by a harmonious blend of diverse roles and expertise. Typically, a content expert may not excel in instructional design, an instructional designer might not specialise in animated video development, and an animated video developer might not be an expert in LMS SCORM integration. It’s the balanced combination of these varied skills, experiences, and proficiencies that has been the cornerstone of our team’s enduring success.
As with any team, it can be challenging to establish and maintain a positive and collaborative culture. Our team contains a mix of very different personalities which we see as a real strength. We focus on developing strong interpersonal skills such as communication, negotiation, leadership, teamwork, questioning, and listening. While we are all very different, a common understanding of our core values, means we work harmoniously, respecting and celebrating our differences. More than 95% of our team have been with B Online Learning for more than five years and the longevity of employees is something we pride ourselves on and strive to maintain.
We don’t just work for our clients; we work with them. Through webinars, blog posts, and client-specific training sessions, we share our knowledge and invite feedback to refine and enhance our solutions. This participatory approach ensures that every project is tailored to the unique needs of the client, resulting in greater satisfaction and impact.
